And now for Jack...

I thought I'd run out of exclamation marks when I posted that Jodie Foster was to be Alex, with Abigail Breslin as Nim - but now we've got Gerard Butler as Jack!!!!!

I don't know if anyone will believe me, but I've always thought that Jodie Foster looks like Alex - the Alex in my head. And then when I saw Gerard Butler's photo on imdb.com, I thought 'That's Jack!' (Okay, I haven't seen 300 yet - we do live in the sticks - but I watched Timeline a couple of weeks ago and he was fantastic in that. It was a long two weeks with fingers, toes, etc, all crossed...)

And Abigail, of course, is so sweet, so lively, enthusiastic – and smart! - who could be better for Nim?
